Stamp information:
Tea plants are perennial evergreen ones that grow in bushes or small trees, with a long taproot and yellowish white flowers. Thanks to Viet Nam’s favorable soil conditions and climate, the green tea has been planted extensively in many provinces and cities from the North to the South of the country with large-scale production such as Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen, Ha Giang, Son La, Lam Dong.... The tea has become a steadily growing industrial crop, bringing high economic efficiency, creating jobs and income for many Vietnamese people. Viet Nam is now one of the biggest tea producers as well as tea exporters in the world. To contribute to promoting the image of Vietnamese tea plants and tea products to the domestic and foreign communities, the Ministry of Information and Communications issues the stamp set “Tea plant” including 02 stamps and 01 block with the face values of 4,000 VND; 12,000 VND and 15,000 VND. Stamp size: 32 x 43 (mm). Block size: 90 x 80 (mm). FDC size: 200 x 110 (mm). Designer: Mr. Nguyen Du (Vietnam Post). The stamp set is issued on May 21, 2024 (the International Tea Day). |
